What is Spring Equinox Day?
The Spring Equinox Day (Shunbun no hi) is the national holiday in Japan. It is the day that day and night have the same lengths. In this time, the seanson changes and spring begins.
On this day, Japanese enjoy eating traditional sweet rice cake with azuki(sweet red beans). You can find those traditional treats at local supermarkets when the holiday approaches.
